The NHS provides free health care for most people.
It is important to understand that GPs are self employed and not all of the services we provide are covered by the NHS payments to the practice.
Please expect a fee for non NHS services. The staff or your doctor should inform of any charges before carrying out non NHS work.
We also offer private medicals which may be needed by any agency such as your employer or for insurance companies. Please contact the Practice for further details.
We are frequently approached by patients requiring supportive medical evidence in the form of a GP letter when completing government forms for various benefits, rehousing , travel passes, travel insurance and disabled badges, DWP renewals and appeals (this list is not exhaustive).
In accordance with local LMC guidance, we only provide patients with an appropriate, free of charge medical summary which includes a list of past and current conditions and current medications as well as recent consultations with our clinical team along with the most recent hospital clinic letters if available.
Once these have been submitted, if the relevant government agency requires further information, they will need to write to us directly.
